Week 12 in class

It took me a little time at first to realize what is the set up of the fiction. Then the whole story become really interesting. The story introduce people a new way of looking at giving birth. People see their own way of birth in good, but what if there is another way of giving birth? The aliens are introduced as family and so peoples are actually bearing life for their own family. However, I still feel uncomfortable same as the "Terrans" in the story. There might be because of the human natures or because the way that described in story is similar to some warms. The alien put the eggs inside human and take it out while is time. This make me think nothing but a "more human acceptable"parasitism. There are many elements in the book are purposely inverted to make people feel uncomfortable or out of place: Instead of only female bears child, male could bears children too; The young kid could also become the "father" of warms; One family have to sacrifice one people to protect the others; The brainwash and high pressure policy since the "preserve" is build based on inequality of races (Alien are much stronger than Human). 

Since I am game major. I think this story could be a perfect background set up for a game. The "operation" scene could be remarkable and the unique stuff is game can make player involve into the story. If it is me, I would definitely make the story longer and make a full background set up. The scene should happen in future with higher technology and a more twisted society. People should see more "okay" to the "N'Talic" stuff since people will see the sickness of the story by themselves.
